I wouldn't use Carden for 3 reasons: (1) it has a kind of made-up, trendy feel (to me); (2) it's very similar to Caden, Cayden, Kaden & Kayden, on which I've pretty much maxed out; and (3) I just don't like the sound of it, for some reason (not b/c it sounds like garden, but just more generally, I'm not wild about it). I do like Cabot very much, though, and also Caleb.
But that's just me. If Carden is the name you love most, you should use it!
I like Carlin but there are 2 problems with that name. #1 I don't like Carl for short. And #2 my daughters name is Marley and my son is Justin. I don't think Marley, Carlin and Justin sound good together. Thanks for the help though.
Cabot is cute. I'm sure what we'd call him for short though...Cab? If I'm getting ready to call him in from outside and I tell my dh that I'm gonna call Cab he may think I'm leaving him, lol!!
Yep, Cab! Someone suggested Cabot, nn'd Cab for us when we were pregnant with our son, Penn. I have to admit, life does get a little goofy when you have someone with a soundalike for a common household word running around the house. (Especially if he has an obsession with that object...I find myself saying things like "Penn, drop the...writing instrument!" or "Drop that...ballpoint!" just to not say pen.) But I do love his name and it suits him but it makes me wish that we didn't have so many of the blasted things around the house.
But can you imagine the cute little theme you could have in the nursery?
I've never heard of it before, so A+++++ for originality. I don't think of it as garden. It does sound unisex, but I wouldn't call it girly. What about Colton or Colson?

It doesn't feel quite right, but I like the idea of it.
My friend's boyfriend is named Carlin - what do you think of that instead?
Other options:
Caden
Camden
Cabbott
Calvin
AJ, enjoying life with C.

It's not my style, but Carter or Carson would work great with the sibs.
