You will be able to change your vote.
Note: To clarify something that has come up in the posts, we are considering Evelina instead of Evelyn bec. it is the same in English and Italian (she will speak both courtesy of DH) and it will go with a VERY Italian last name. We found it next to Eva in our Italian baby name book.

I do like just Evelyn, Eveline, or Emeline.
Good luck,
Brooke
With the growing popularity of "Evie" names IRL, the number of people here who seem to like Evelyn, Eve, Eva, Evangeline, Genevieve, etc. and the dainty, feminine sound of ev-eh-LEEN-a itself, I was very surprised to be one of very few "love it" votes! ;)
I'm wondering if some are misreading this as Eev-LINE-a or something equally absurd?? Just a thought.
Evelina

Ahh ... I love it even more for you then, given the Italian heritage. Seems a wonderful choice! ;)
FWIW, I'd still have Eveline/Evelina (probably would have stuck with Eveline, given our Irish ln) on my own list if our second dd hadn't already dubbed herself "Evie." Didn't see that coming, but it'd be too confusing now. LOL Still love the name, however.

Well, that makes me change my mind! If you're looking for a name that works in Italian and English, and not just trying to make Evelyn more "cutesy" or something, then I like it. I would use nn Lina, that's very pretty.

Thanks belle_petite for the siggy!
It's nice, but I prefer the more simple forms Evelyn or Lina by themselves.
Edited to add: I just read your post about your DHs Italian heritage. I also like it more now with that in mind. You might also consider Evangelina.

AJ, enjoying life with C.
For some reason I don't like it as much as Evelyn/Eveline.
