Finley just seems more like a boy's name, to me. It's really cute, though, and I guess I could definitely see it being gender-neutral.

What about Fiona?

I've never heard it as a boy's name, and it seems kind too girly for a boy, but thats just my opinion. I don't really care for Fiona. Too Shrek for me ;-)

Those are just a few, but I couldn't find it listed as a girls' name OR as a unisex name on any of the sites I looked at.

I forgot about the Shrek association with Fiona! Now that the third movie is coming out, some people might think you named her after the character. That could get annoying, so I totally understand that one. I'm just biased towards it, because I've always loved that name, lol.

I've seen Finley, Finnley, Findlay, etc., posted here as a potential boy's name at few times. I don't know any in real life. Personally, I don't care for it as a boy's or girl's name because I just don't like the sound of it. But that's just a personal opinion.

Angie Harmon and Jason Seahorn named their little girl Finley Faith

Finley sounds like a boy to me. I don't like it for a girl.

And Diane Keaton's daughter is Dexter. Just because Hollywood does it doesn't mean it translates well to real-world children.

I think it's too masculine and Finn is very, very, VERY common for boys these days. You see a lot of boy's names getting used on girls, but it would be more interesting if it were one not one already in common usage.

Sorry, but I really dislike it for a girl. I am not a fan of unisex names and Finley, to me, is all male.
