what do y'all think of these?

My husband and I already have a Noah Joseph and a Collin David. We are only in the beginning stages of considering having another baby (we had only planned on two), but we've already begun looking at names. We'd like to choose two for each sex and decide at the hospital when we deliver (we won't know the sex). Anyway, here are the two girls names we've chosen (Noelle is my middle name): Scarlett Noelle and Heidi Noelle. We only have one boy's name so far: Gentry Shay. What do y'all think??? Honest opinions, please! Thanks! -Mandi

LOVE Scarlett! Beautiful, classic, strong.

I like Scarlett and I like Noelle but the combo doesn't work for me.
Scarlett Noelle and Heidi Noelle are both sweet, I'd be hard pressed to choose between them.
Honestly, Gentry Shay is nms.
The girl's names are pretty, but the boy's name is definitely nms. To me, naming a child Gentry is kind of along the same lines as naming a child Aristocracy, Nobility, or Royalty. It just seems a little pretentious.
One of the pp mentioned Tabitha Noelle? I think that is absolutely gorgeous!
I love Heidi Noelle. As a PP said, Scarlet Noelle means "Red Christmas" so I don't like it for that reason.
I also agree with the PP who said that naming a child Gentry is like naming him Aristocrat - it's just too pretentious for my liking. Plus I don't think it fits with your other DSs' names.
Hello.
Scarlett is a gorgeous name! It's a neat fit with your boys. Unexpected but it works. With Noelle, it sort of leads to images of Christmas and the color red. Not on first glance though. The flow is great, and that particular image wouldn't be deal breaker for me.
Heidi is sweet and especially fitting with Noah, IMO.
I like the name Gentry. I think it's a good fit with Collin. The only two Gentrys I've known have been girls, though. As a surname, it could certainly work for boy or girl. This is a surname I'd be inclined to use IF it were a family name. Shay is also unisex at the moment. If I were going to use Gentry, I'd pair it with something very masculine for clarity.
Good luck on ttc,

First of all, I LOVE your boys names. You obviously have good naming taste, so whatever you decide will be fine.
I like Scarlett Noelle the best. I didn't know that it meant Red Christmas and even if it does mean that, it wouldn't affect whether or not I'd use it. Its just not that big of a deal to me.
I don't really care for Gentry. I've just never heard of it before, but that's just me!
Hope I helped.
Good Luck
Just came from your poll, where Scarlett got my vote. ;)
I honestly wouldn't worry about the "red Christmas" meaning, since you're not using Noelle "just because it sounds pretty," KWIM? When using family names, I think you can be a bit more lenient about sound, associations, etc., so it'd be silly to abandon a name you obviously like because together, the combo means something harmless like "red Christmas." :)
I like Heidi, but not as much with your boys' names. Whereas Noah and Collin have a Biblical and Irish/Scottish/British feel, Heidi is very German. Not a terrible thing, of course, but Scarlett, on the other hand, seems a wonderful fit, so I'd definitely lean toward that option. It has a similar feel as the boys, without being matchy or even expected. So basically, Noah, Collin and Scarlett make for a wonderful, interesting sib set without being the least bit boring or predictable. Very nice!
Gentry is nmsaa (not my style at all), I'm sorry to say. I believe some have already touched on this issue, but it certainly seems a name parents would only choose if ...
a) they simply thought it sounded "cool" and had no idea it was an actual word with an actual meaning, or
b) they were pompous enough to think such a name WAS indicative of their child (Donald Trump naming his son "Baron," for instance).
Here's a link to a recent thread that happened to address this exact word being used as a name: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppbabyname/?msg=46198.1
