It's not my normal style, but I really like it. I think it's spunky and very underused...

I don't think Mallory is trendy at all, or outdated. I think it's really pretty without being frilly (i.e. all the -a and -ella girl name endings that are all the rage right now). I think, like pp said, it has a spunk to it that is appealing.

Overall, I quite like it!

I like it. It's a little different, it's pretty but not cutesy or frilly, and it should grow up well. Nice choice!

I like it! I, too, find it spunky sounding.

I like it a lot! I think it's spunky and not overly feminine, without being a boys' name used on a girl. I haven't heard of any girls with this name who were born after the mid-to-late '80s, so you're sure to have something familiar, but not too common.

It also reminds me of Sir Thomas Malory, who wrote the Morte d'Arthur, about King Arthur and the knights of the round table.

i think it's nice, it's on my list but there are other names I like better so I'll probably never use it.

I like the sound of Mallory, but I don't think I'd ever use it because its meaning is listed as "ill-omened" and the word "mal" means bad in French.

I like it a lot - it's not dated to any particular era - the first time most people heard it was on a sitcom that Michael J Fox was on back in the 70s or 80s - it his sister's name on the show - Family Ties I assume

it's never hit any popularity highs although admittedly it's getting more hits in the past few years than ever before

the thing is, you think you're getting a name that's not so popular, then it does get so, there's just no way to know beforehand

right now I don't believe it to be very popular, I only know one small child with it personally she's about 2

I'll admit, it's not my style--it feels like the name equivalent of the 1980's power suit with the floppy bow tie. It doesn't feel very feminine to me, it doesn't feel masculine to me, either--it's like it a bit both and, ultimately, neither. (I have the same feeling about Meredith, but I seem to be alone there.) It's not that it's a bad name, it's just a bit beige to me.
