What have some of you used as your baby themes or ideas?

Since we don't like finding out the baby's gender before birth, we go neutral. My son's nursery was (is, I guess, though the bumper's long-gone) pastoral, with sheep on the bumper and bluebirds on the ceiling. I like unusual color combos, so he has cream walls and a pale yellow-green accent wall in his room (it was there before we knew he was coming and we rent, so we just worked a theme around it,) golden pine furniture and a black armoire and shelves to keep it from being too cutesy. (I'm not a cutesy person.)

Next time...I'm thinking something with a beach feel...pale (VERY pale) blue ceiling, either gold or silver-sage walls with a white glaze (like an old beach house,) faded stripes and plaids on the textiles...just can't decide on the furniture. But hopefully by then we'll be in a house...I find that I can never really pre-plan until I'm actually IN the space. But I really hope we have wood floors!

I always thought I was going to do a carousel theme, but ever since I actually got pregnant, that's seemed a bit too precious...but I was going to paint the animals on the walls and everything...*sigh* Oh, well...maybe if we have a girl she'll want one when she gets old enough to have a say and I won't have a choice!

My favorite is a jungle theme or an ocean theme, in part because they can be unisex and mostly because my favorite colors are blues and greens.
