Okay, this is my second poll, because I have pretty much started from scratch on my baby girls name.

Alexa is too popular and trendy and Aubriella is too frilly and madeup sounding. I prefer Aubrey, Audrey, or Audrianna.

Alaina is lovely, but the "y" that you stuck in there is unnecessary and makes it look like just another kre8tif spelling. You can spell it Alaina and still use the nn Laynie (although to me, Lainie is much more appealing!)

I agree that Alexa is too common, so I wouldn't use that one. Alayna is nice, although I prefer it spelled Alaina. And Aubrielle seems a bit too much, but I would like Aubrey.

A few others that you might want to consider:

Annika Christine Smith
Alessia Christine Smith

I really think Alexa Smith is too "s" heavy so, added to your hesitation about the popularity I would eliminate it. Of the other two options, I think Alaina/Lainey is really great (but agree with pp that the "y" makes it trendier than my taste prefers). Aubriella feels made up to me and runs into all the other -ella names.

Good luck!

Alayna is my favorite on your list but I'm another one who like the Alaina spelling better.

i vote for Alaina (this spelling though I just don't like random y's in names)... its my daughters name and we get a lot of compliments on it... we call her Lainey or Laina as a nn.

I like Alexa, but you're right, it might be too trendy.

there are so many version of the "Alex" names for girls - Alexa and Alexis are getting a lot of play lately and Alexandra's for infants seem to be down

I like Alayna the best - I don't like that Y in there though - how about Alaina

I like Aubrey, it's not overly common, you hear it here and there - Aubriella is a little busy - but it is sort of cute

I like Alayna with the Y, I think it looks nice and not put in unnecessarily. It's a nice spelling and easy to pronounce with the Y . If you like it that way I say use it. I am using
