It's sooo popular, especially in my area! I don't want my dd to have a name that she'd be sharing with five other girls in her class. Does anybody have any suggestions of names that are similar to Madelyn? I'd really appreciate it, thank you! =)

Hi there.

I'm sorry to hear that you feel you can't use the name that you love, but also admire your not wanting to have you dd share a name w/so many others.

I love Madelyn as well, but we have a Madison in the family and i think they're a little to similiar. I was thinking about Adelyn until my husband made me realize that it's too similiar to my own name, Allison. I can't believe how hard it is to have names you like and to choose one for your own child. I thought I loved so many names until I got pregnant and now I cant find the perfect name for my baby. Good Luck!!

I met a little girl named Adelyn, named so for that same reason. I think its really cute.

Madelyn is a sweet name. I can see why you like it, nickname options, charming on a young girl, and sophisticated enough for adulthood.

Some other you may like:
Phoebe
Clara
Margo
Jocelyn
Evelyn
Eveline
Emeline
Caroline
Marina
Mallory

Do any of these appeal to you?
