Opinions on Names

I'm new to the board and looking for some opinions. This is my first baby but my second child and DH and I are planning to follow the same naming traditions that our families had and that he used naming DSS. We think we have our names picked out (don't know the gender) they are all based on family names and we tried to avoid anything that is really popular right now. I just want to see if there is anything we have overlooked about the names before we make the final decision. A little background, DSS is already named after his father and grandfather and he, DH and I all have 2 middle names so we're sticking with that.

For a Girl: Domina Diane Margaret.
Domina = in reference to greatgreatgrandfather Dometrius, also it was a title of respect for Roman nobility and I think its a great power name despite the obvious dominatrix jokes.
Diane = Paternal Grandmother
Margaret = Maternal Grandmother and Great Grandmother

For a Boy: Kolton Hardy Knute.
Kolton: my maiden name.
Hardy: Paternal Great Grandfather's nickname.
Knute: Maternal Great Grandfather.

So do your worst, I know the kids at school will so I want to make sure I'm not surprised by what they come up with! Besides, I know that the girls name will get roasted by the inlaws for sure so I wanna hear all the possible criticisms they could throw at me!

Kolton is not my style, at all, but I totally understand wanting to use a family name. Because Kolten, Colten, Colton, etc., all sound super-trendy to my ear, my own tendency would be to use Kolton as a middle name and find another family name for the first. I really want to like Domina, but I just can't get into it. If it were me, I'd look for more family name options.

forget dominatrix, the domino connect is going to make her hate this name...

If you want to use a form of Demetrius why not Demetria or Demi?

Wow...they're definitely on different ends of the spectrum, aren't they?

Domina is one that I would warn off of. Yeah, a power name...but an awfully hard-to-wear one. There WILL be dominatrix jokes, not just in grade school but on into the work world. There's Domino's Pizza (at least here,) there's the game of dominoes, there was that bad movie about a model-turned-bounty hunter named Domino a couple of years ago...I'm all for honoring the honorable, but I can't say this strikes me as the best idea.
Diane is fine, and I love Diana.
Margaret is perfectly safe in this day and age and you shouldn't have any trouble with it beyond other small girls named Margaret running around.

Kolton. I like Colton, but the K-in-place-of-C thing is so trendy these days that it always feels like it's dumbing it down a bit (which sounds awful since you have a very valid reason behind the spelling--it's just the vibe it gives off due to the trends of the times.) But I really like Colton, I find it very masculine and rugged and it conjures up images of cowboys and campfires...it's very likable.
Hardy is very cool, though I might be biased by having read most of the Hardy Boys books growing up. (I ran out of Nancy Drew at the local library...) But I really, really like it. Enough so that I'd be tempted to put it in the first name position.
Knute. Okay, I'm a dork. All I can think of is the baby polar bear at that German zoo that was all the news last year. It's not a bad name, but I DO find it awkward with the others.

Okay, there you go. It's so WEIRD to have someone ask me to do my worst...I think I might have actually reined in because of that!

My first thought with Domina was Domino -- (we had dalmations and one was Domino, maybe that's why).

I like the suggestion of Dometria instead of Domina.

I think I'm going to save the following as a packaged reply for on here - I just cut & pasted it from where I replied to another poster:
