We love the name Macy, but I'm having doubts about it growing well with her.

Hmmm ... I think Macy's fine on it's own.
I know a Mary Elizabeth who goes by Mae. So I think you could definitely have a Mary Cecilia nn Macy.
(Or depending on your taste in names, Marie Celeste, Maria Celine, Marin Cerena or Mariam Cyrah might fit the bill - you get the idea!)
That said, Macy works fine alone too.
Good luck!
Kate
You could shorten Madison to Macy :)

Read about my mommin' in Chicago!
I have to admit, Macy on its own does feel too cute for me. (But that kind of goes for a LOT of the girls' names that are current right now...I suppose they'll all come into their own when they get older, anyway. Though that idea hasn't quite worked for Britney Spears...hmm.) Anyway, more formal names for Macy to come from:
Margaret (Maisie is a nn for it...don't see why Macy couldn't work!)
Marisol
Mayim
Makenna
Mary Celeste?
