debate over middle name

Hello!
I'm 38 weeks today and I have a question about the middle name. We've had Eliza picked out as a first name for a few months now. I really like Eliza Kate, but he likes Eliza Katherine. I like Katherine as well, but it seems like a mouthful. Too many syllables or something. Please help us settle this before I go into labor! Thanks!
P.S. - My great grandmother's name was Katherine, so that's why we wanted to go with some form of it.

For me, names with meaning usually trump names that just sound good -- I say "usually" because I need an "out" of course for family names like Marvin and Earl, lol. In YOUR situation, I would go with Katherine! It's lovely and sounds good with Eliza. I don't think it's a mouthful at all. You can always call her Eliza Kate for fun, or even just Kate as a pet name (just you calling her that). My oldest is named Hanne Isabelle and I naturally call her "Bella" just as much as I say "Hanne". No one else outside our family calls her this, mostly me.
HTH!

I would definitely do Eliza Katherine.
