Jessica Alba: On her Honor

So, WDYT? Jessica Alba named her new baby girl Honor Marie. Honor got some high marks here in discussions recently. Does its becoming a "star baby" name add to or subtract from that? Does it matter to YOUR opinion, if you were one of the ones who likes Honor? What of Marie? Thoughts?
I like the name Honor -- it's one of those names, though, that I like in theory but probably wouldn't use. It doesn't go well with your ln for one thing, but it still brings to mind the Patience, Charity and Prudence names of long ago; to me, it's still grouped in with these old, weird sounding names. Maybe it will switch over in my head as Hope, Faith and Mercy have done. SIDE NOTE: I heard that a family named their new baby Honor a few years back and I thought it was pretty cool sounding. Then I learned that this baby was a BOY and ick! It has "girl" written all over it to me, not boy.
Marie? Eh. Hopefully it's a family name or something because otherwise it's *boring* especially matched up with Honor. I bet Jessica picked Honor and FOB picked the middle name and all he came up with was Marie, lol.
BTW: I don't even know anything about Jessica Alba beyond the fact that she's famous. What's she done? Actress? Singer? This is why "star baby" names mean little to me (and why I can really like Harlow); they don't play that big of a role in my circle/life.

I've always liked the name Honor-one of my guilty pleasures. There was a model named Honor which made me like it. But if I didn't see her, I think I would have found it a bit strange. :)

It's an awesome name and I really infinitely prefer it to the other "hot" names in Hollywood (Jessica Marie Alba is an actress, btw...she was in those ghastly Fantastic Four movies.) The gender is clear, the meaning is clear, the spelling is un-messed-around-with...it's a good name and it's not really (at least for name junkies or those who read books set in the Victorian era) out of the clear blue as the media (who dubbed it an "odd choice") seem to think. It's more like Violet or Atticus than it is like Jagger or Easton on a girl, or the always-mentioned Pilot Inspektor or any of the other madness that pops up.
To me, it's not really a star name. It's just a name that a star had the good sense to choose.
I love Honor!
Thanks belle_petite for the siggy!
