I've always admired the name Haddon ever since I traveled in Nova Scotia.

Male, all the way. It looks manly, it sounds manly...and it was Charles Haddon Spurgeon's middle name. I'm sure some would use it on a girl, since everything gets used on a girl at least once, but it just doesn't ring right for me. I'm visualizing an athletic, yet quirky man, a bit of an academic--the Renaissance type who dabbles in everything, dark hair and eyes, glasses--kind of Clark Kent and Superman all together.

I've never met a Haddon. It's all boy to me. I'm sure that someone somewhere will use it for a girl - some parents are just way into boys' names for girls (still!), and the surnamish names seem particularly to appeal to them. But that doesn't make it a feminine name.

There's a little boy in my church named Hadden. I don't know any Haddons, but I assume it is pronounced the same as Hadden, so I would say it is a boy name.

We know a little Haddon (boy)! He's four, a blond curly headed chubster, and quite a character -- all BOY. He was named after Charles Haddon Spurgeon and Haddon I-can't-think-of-his-last-name (more recent religious figure). But I agree, I can see some folks choosing this for a girl someday soon.

I think it's a great boy's name!

I think it's very boyish. I know an infant Haddon, about 2 months old (a boy).

have never heard it - I like Holden, don't think I like how Haddon sounds as a name, but definitely more boy if you do use it

I named one of my twin daughters Haddon and the name has gotten a very positive response.
