My husband and I really like the name Kenley for a girl. Ivillage has it listed at a boys name but some other sources say its unisex. Is this a suitable name for a girl? I think it sounds more feminine anyway. Help!

I think its cute for a girl!! You may also like Kinsley, Kensie, and Kelsey if Kenley doesnt work. Good Luck!

ehh, it's fine for a girl However, I also think that Kenley is a trendy name that will sound dated and unoriginal in a few years. I know one girl named Kinley age 23 who thinks that her name looks unprofessional.

Why not try some more original like:
Cassia
Brinley - I know this is really similar to Kenley, but I like it so much more - weird, I know
Calla
Caitlin
Marina
Fiora or Fiona
Talia
Cecilia
Cecily** also similar to Kenley, but it has so much more style and substance

Good luck,
Brooke

Well, it certainly fits in with all of the very, very cute names that are trendy for girls. I have actually known several guys named Kenley...but it seems that all things -lee are hot for girls right now.

I am not kidding that I just got home from my 3 year old son's soccer team and there was..
Kenley and Kendall both girls on the team and a baby girl Kenner and an older sister Kennedy.

Honestly none of them are my style, but hearing them all together made them all seem incredibly trendy and overdone.

I'd like Kenley on a girl better than on a boy - definitely feminine sounding

Before I found out I was having a boy McKinnly was one of choices for a girl. We were gonna call her Kinnly. I think it is a girls name and would not consider it for a boy

It's not my style personally, but yes I could picture it more on a girl than a boy. Like some other posters, though, I'd be careful with all the Ken- and -lee sounding names that are popular now. It could become a mouthful if she has a bunch of friends named Kenley, Kendall, Kinnly, Kelsey, and Kylie!

My niece is Kinsley, so it's not such a stretch for me to see Kenley on a girl (though I prefer Kinsley).
