So my husband and I found out that we are expecting a little girl! I just made it to 24 weeks today!

I let my husband pick the name.... I love the first name but Im not so sure about his choice for the middle name. He decided on Isabella Espen. Although it is very unique, Im just not sure about it.

Please let me know what you think! Thank you!

Does Espen have a special meaning for DH?

Congratulations! I'm at 24 weeks today with a baby girl, too. It's interesting that you let your husband pick the name - we did the opposite: I'm choosing the baby's FN and MN, and my husband chose her LN.

Anyway, Isabella is very pretty (super-popular, of course, but so long as you're aware that and don't mind, that's no big deal, IMO), but Espen wouldn't work for me. Is it a family surname or something? If not, I'd probably pick a different MN or tell him to pick another one. I'm not into uniqueness for the mere sake of uniqueness. I like a MN that either has family connections or some sort of relevance to the parents, or something that is just very pretty and flows well with the FN.

i love isabella, even though its really popular in my area right now. Espen looks like a typo of Aspen. i prefer Aspen to Espen....kinda looks like daddy might be a fan of ESPN?? i'd see if you could persuade him to go with Aspen...or even another name that has some meaning to your family if he just likes it because its basically ESPN.

There was a trend a while back where there were babies being named Espn, pronounced like Espen. And yes, it was supposed to be ESPN, like the sports network.
