I think "Kaymi" is best for pron. reasons but I'm not very fond of the "y". Since you don't mind this spelling then I would go with this one. Kami without the "y" looks like it would be pronounced like "Sammy" and "Kaimi" to me looks like it would be pronounced like "tai-mee".
Just a thought, what do you think of "Kamie" which is spelled like Jamie? Maybe it might get pronounced correctly.
I think the Kamie spelling is ok and was thinking maybe it'd work since it is like Jamie w/ a "k"....just not sure.
Well, I don't think I have any input, I just wanted to say that I hope you guys love the name and she looks like a Kay-mee after all you've put into finding the "it" name for your little girl, lol! Hey, here's a fresh idea: why don't you just spell it Kay-mee since that's how you have posted it over and over to get us to think that pronunciation? That would make a great background story for her name and WOULD get you the pronunciation you are after. Big grin.

Cammie, or Cami -- which are nicknames for Cameron (or Camryn) or Camilla.
Kaimi is really asking to be mispronounced. Kai is normally pronounced as rhyming with the word eye. You see it in the boys' name Kai and the first syllable of the girls' name Kaia. So Kaimi would frequently be pronounced KY-me. It could also look like ky-EE-mee to anyone who might think it's from a language other than English. I would definitely avoid Kaimi - the constant mispronunciation would drive me nuts.
Kami is going to look like CAM-ee to many, probably most, people. It would be pronounced by many or most as rhyming with Tammy.
Kayme or Kaime both look too much like the word came. Kaime also looks like it would be pronounced KYME. Again, I think they're just inviting people to mispronounce the name.
If KAY-mee is what you want, I'd go with Kaymi, Kaymie, Caymi or Caymie. Caymie would probably be my top choice. There is no way to mispronounce these spellings, and they certainly look as nice as the other options - nicer, IMO.
Best wishes.
