I would tell him today. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it or make it sound like you've been keeping it a secret though. You might just want to tell him that you weren't sure if he was aware of the history of that name but that you still love it and want to use it.

He's going to find out one way or another.

(On a side not have you thought at all about making it the middle name instead?)

I agree somewhat with the poster who believes you would always associate that name with the child that was lost


I think you ought to throw some other names in the pot and see what you can come up with - if in the end, there is nothing else that comes close to how much you like this name, then make a decision, with your husband's knowlege
