I think Amy Beth is a really beautiful, elegant name. But I have to ask, what on earth is wrong with the Amy spelling? No one will ever mis-spell it, she will never have to correct people, and she will find her name on little pre-personalized mugs and mouse ears when you take her to Disneyworld.

Hiya!

I am going to have to completely agree with Agent D...I LOVE Amy Beth...it is a fabulous name, but I like Amy spelled the traditional way - let your kid have that license plate key chain!!!

Just my 2 cents....

Good luck!

I voted for Ami Jo of your choices, however, I really think you need a slightly longer middle name with a name as short as Ami.

I would discourage your use of Rae as a mn for Ami or Aimee, because they both have a long A sound in them.

I don't know what your style is exactly (obviously short- LOL), here are a few alternatives I think are a little longer in the middle, but seem to be in the cute style you like. I'm thinking maybe you have a relative named either Elizabeth or Susan since you have Beth and Sue in there. I think the use of Sue by itself as a middle name has gotten kind of out-dated and the use of Beth by itself just doesn't seem to go with Ami for me.

If there is an Elizabeth - I actually think Ami Elizabeth sounds pretty good (even though I am not into the classics)

I think for Sue - either Ami Susan or Ami Suzanne would sound much better together than Ami Sue.

there are some possible alternatives also the the shortness of Jo (although Ami Jo together reminds me so much of the book Little Women - and that's NOT a negative thing, it's actually really nice). - BUT - you could go: Ami Josette, Ami Joelle, Ami Jolene, I just think it gives her whole name a little more depth.

hope this helps. good luck.

I can't vote. I think making the french word for friend sound like the american name Amy is just wrong. And Ami is too cutesy, can you imagine her as Congresswoman Ami? Amy is fine as it is!

Don't mean to offend, but that's my opinion!

Amy Joelle is cute! And you could still call her Amy Jo.
