I like James best, but don't really like Jrs too much. However, if you call him James or Jay, I would say ok (if dad's called something else.)

I also like Joseph & Joshua, but PLEASE, if you use them spell them correctly! (Joeseph & Joushua look awful to me.)

Jackason Johnson sounds strange. I don't care for Justin.

Jacob gmv. A little popular, but nice. I also like Jonathan, but it is awfully long w/ Johnson. Is Bradly a family spelling If not, I would spell it Bradley.

why do you so want those double Js? I voted for Justin, I think it sounds the best with Johnson of all of them. BEFORE you decide, make sure you sound the name out without the Bradly in the middle so you know just how the first and last sound together

the ones that sound really bad without the middle name there to buffer it are Joshua, Jonathan, Joseph, and Jackson. Jonathan is especially bad, he'd eventually get called just Jon by his friends - Jon JOhnson. think about that. also I hope you wouldn't spell Joshua that way - Joushua or Joseph that way - Joeseph? do you want your child to go through life having his name mispelled and mispronounced? Bradly also needs an E - Bradley.

good luck, but I really think you should give up the double J thing. unless having the nickname JJ is what you're really going for to begin with. I also think that's kind of unfair for a child anyhow to go by initials. sorry.

Ok, I like a lot of your "J" names, and am having a hard time deciding....however,

I don't know if the following are misspellings or typos, but if this is how you intended to spell them, I'd spell them correctly if you were going to use them:

Joushua (spell it Joshua)

Joeseph (spell it Joseph)

I LOVE the name Justin-- I think that's actually my favorite on your list, but I also like Jackson a lot, too. And Jacob is a very nice name.

The other thing is, I would spell the middle name "Bradley", not "Bradly".

"Bradly" looks a little too much like "badly".

Best of luck to you!

i did spell joshua and joseph wrong... it was late and i was tired... the whole j bradly johnson thing is a tradition that my honey wants to stick with.. his dad is jon bradly johnson and his brother is joseph bradly johnson.. he is james but goes by brad.. his dad also goes by brad... so going by a middle name would b out of the question... that'd b too many... i think i like justin and joshua the most myself.... justin was supposed to b my name if i was a boy... but yeah.. thanks for all ur imput!! i appreciate it!!

If it's a tie, go with the family name. If you prefer something else, go with that. At least that is the way we've always done it in our family.

Either Joshua Bradly Johnson (nn Josh) or James Bradly Johnson, Jr. (nn Jamie) would get my vote.. I like the jr. combo (and I'm sure dad likes it too! LOL) while Joshua Bradly Johnson gives him a nn that doesn't sound anything like anyone else's in the family.. which is cool.

Good Luck & let us know what you decide on!

I did not vote because first-I like Bradley spelled with an E and Joshua spelled this way.

If your husband's name is James, you could name the baby Jameson, which means son of James. It's a nice new spin off of James, and it would prevent him from being called Jr. or lil James if you decided to go with James. Just an idea.

I voted for Joseph Bradley, and this is the only way I like it spelled.

JMHO!

Jen

Edited after I saw your post saying the spelling was a typo.
