I really like the name Cordelia. Cordie for a nn is cute while she's young. I did a quick check and found that Cordelia was in the top 1000 girls names in the early 1900's through 1940's. It's a good name that has stood the test of time, and it's pretty and not overused.

I really like Vivian Farley. It's really pretty. You could call her Vivi if you think Vivian is too grown-up for a baby.
JMO!!
I especially like Greta and Charlotte. Charlotte Jane is very pretty. Cordelia Jane is also nice.
Good luck!
As for your list, I don't care for Cordelia or Tallula. I like Lila, but I can't see you using that one when you have so many other great picks (because of your neighbor). My personal favorite of the bunch is Eliza. But like I said, I'll be really surprised if you don't go with Charlotte.
How does dh feel about Charlotte? The only danger I can see is I was so stuck on Faith being the name of our dd, that I actually turned my dh off to it. He got so sick of it (as I did the name he was pushing) that we had to scrap it all and find a new name. The end result is a name that isn't either one of our favorites, but seems to be the right name for this baby (Zoe).
Anyhow, good luck! Please come back and let us know what name this baby ends up getting,
Shannon
Well! :-) You've got a very nice list! I like a LOT of the names you've picked.
Oddly enough, I don't like the first one on your list...and typically I like the name Charlotte, but I'm not too crazy about it with your last name, and I'll tell you why...
See, the first syllables of both first and last name end in the same sound, so it's kind of like an odd type of rhyme: Char- Far-. I don't know, but for some reason, it just doesn't sit well with me. Maybe with the middle name in there, it wil balance that part out and I'd like it a lot better.
But I LOVE so many of your choices. I think Greta sounds GREAT with your last name...Lucy is cute, Tallula is cute, I like Lila and Juliet...and Vivian will ALWAYS be one of my favorite names...
Best of luck to you! And congrats on a great list! :-)
Of course, I voted for Greta.
I had us each write 15 names, then choose 5 from each other's lists that we liked. That was Dh's first crack at doing that, he has always picked from lists I create, even Lola. Of course, Tallula was on my list, and dh now loves it as his fave. I even hyped it by pointing out that it's Irish (he's Irish). Now I don't want that at all. I want something more classic.
I left out mn's since those are so easy for me and don't affect the sound of the name really, since rarely used. Some people think a mn will help Charlotte, but not if never used.
Just fun, here is dh's list (he used our 5 naming books, so yes, these are all names!):
Carolina
Ruby
Lola
Leah
Lila
Eliza
Mercedes
April
Loomis
Vivian
Griselda
Echo
Juliet
Morgan
Sixte (nn Six)
Lake
My list was Cordelia, Charlotte, Lucy, Eleanor, Cecilia, Lila, Louisa, Jane, Helena, Greta, Tallula, Isadora, Giselle, Honora, Eva, Adeline, Natasha, Marcella.
You can see why we're having problems!!!
Good Luck!!
Jorie
