I love the name Noah. I like the name David but I tend to not like the shortened versions of boy names like Dave. It's not a bad name at all though, I just wouldn't chose it myself because of the nn.
I'm sure you realize it but the two names together makes a very strong Christian name to me. If that is what you are going for then David Noah is a wonderful name. But since I don't like Dave for a nn I'd make it Noah David. JMO.
I was not trying for a religious name; my family is non-practicing... David is from my dh's grandfather, James David, and Noah was the name of my great-grandfather. I do not care for any nn for David either!
I am not pregnant nor are we TTC, but I am always trying out names for babies-to-be :) We plan to have at least 2 more.
