I like Nicholas, Parker, and Tucker. Nicholas is more common than the other two, but not at all trendy. Samuel is nms, but Sam is a cute nn.

It would help to know what letter your last name begins with and how many syllables. For example, Parker doesn't work well with a last name like James or any other last name that could be a first name. Everyone would call him James (or whatever) Parker.

Good luck!

Of course I pick Nicholas! I'm not even sure what it means but I know that it is classic and strong and versatile. NNs inclue Nick, Nicky, Cole. Mine is called Nick-a-nick :o)

My son's mn is Aidan but I also considered Nicholas Anthony, Nicholas Watson (a family name), and Nicholas Adam.

My second choice would be Samuel and Tucker my third, but of course I don't like those nearly as much as Nicholas :)

Good Luck!!

I personally love the name Nicholas Isaiah. Good luck with the name issue. I am having the same problem.

We used Samuel Chase for #2. He thinks his name is "really cool" he's 4.

Thanks everyone, here's some more info.

This is boy #4 for us (boy #5 if you count my stepson who doesn't live with us). My other boys are:

Wesley Mark

Twins Caden James and Carter John

We have a ton of names that we like left over from when we were naming the twins but they are all C names and I don't want poor Wesley to feel like the odd man out. I like the idea of honoring my family in some way, which is why we want Christian as a middle name (my mother's maiden name is Christensen, but we'd use Christian not Christen for convenience). My mother's middle name is Nicole (she goes by Nicki) and my middle name is Nicole as well, which is why I'm partial to Nicholas. I just don't really care for Nick and we call my mom Nana Nick sometimes, so again, I don't want to confuse. Does Nicholas Christian sound OK or is it too much? Our last name is Ayers pronounced Air-s. Single syllable last names that start with a vowel are hard!

I really appreciate the responses so far. DH is in love with the name Tucker and is already calling him that. I like it too, but want to explore all our options. Baby is due in September, so we have a little time, but not much!

Thanks again ladies! I really appreciate the poll responses and suggestions!

I absolutely love Nicholas Christian Ayers. It sounds perfect. Our Nicolas' middle name is Xavier, but we had also considered Cristian, but I didn't like the spanish spelling. Nicholas is a name that has it all, imo, and with the rest of his name, even his initials are cool!

I agree! :o)

IMO, Tucker Ayers is a name that I would stumble over. I, personally, just don't think it flows...
