I love Bridget but Taupe???? Is it a family name? I don't think it goes with Bridget at all.

So is Taupe the mn or the ln? Bridget is a great name, but I don't like the two Ts together BridgeTTaupe. If it is a ln, maybe find something that doesn't end in a T, if it is a mn and not super near and dear to your heart, keep Bridget and ditch Taupe.

I'm going against the grain here, but I thought the combo sounded interesting and voted for Yes.

I like the concept...I love color!

I have loved watching how my son picks favorite colors - his first fave was orange, concidentally, also his grnadfather's secret fave - very interesting.

I don't know about imposing a color, unless...somehow, you had intuition about the personality of the child...but I guess it is as imposing as choosing a name in the first place...

I think your own creativity proves at least that your child will appreciate a name that is a color associated with more vividness and depth...

maybe a visit to the paint store or the lipstick counter is in order?

confused how Irish has to do with Bridget? known a girl from Denmark, her name was Brigita, their name for Bridget and here she went by Bridget(exchange student) .. Korean, my town, many Korean babies, children were adopted, given regular American names. there's Michelle Kwan, Kristi Yamaguchi (Japanese, but American). . in Chicago a newsanchorwoman, there's Linda Yu. i know Thai, Vietemese, Philipino Americans (imigrants) they have names like, Tina, Ana, theyre grown, they have these names by choice. also know Philipino with Spanish names, like Pablo, Dominga. i know a woman, Philipino, her husband is Hawaiian, one of their DD named Regina. i could go on, other countries, India, Native American...

Linda, Kristi, Michelle, et. al., are "melting pot" names--
