Both are classic names. . .like them a lot. . . especially both the nicknames Greta and Nora. I'm considering Nora as a first name. I chose Margaret, though, because I like it better than Eleanor. . .it just has a nicer ring to it. My 2 cents . . .

YAY for Margaret/Greta!! I just had to add that my DH and I have been talking about girls names with the possibility of adopting -- a looooooooooooong time in the future. We've pretty much decided that another DD would be Eleanor/Nora. Love it!

What MNs are you considering?

Eleanor get's my vote, but I'm biased. Eleanor Katherine is a great combo, IMO ;0

Margaret is lovely too.

I voted for Margret/Greta. While Nora is a nice name, Eleanor is just too dated for me.

The name reminds me of a very old lady. JMO~

I really like the names Margaret and Eleanor, BUT I think that Greta and Nora are what I call "hagley" names for young girls/women. JMHO

I love the name Margaret with nn Greta or Maggie. I like Eleanor, I have a close friend with this name, whose nn is Elly, but I prefer Eleanora.

I have no idea what "hagley" means. Is that like a hag? I can tell it is not a good thing, but am confused as to what you mean.
