Hi all,

My husband and I are expecting our third child in March 05. We have two sons- William Sergei and Benjamin Mikhail. We have decided to not find out if #3 is a girl or boy, so we will have many choices. Right now we have 3 girls names and 2 boys names, we are looking for some more suggestions.
We have chosen to use Russian middle names since I am a first generation American and my family is from Russia. We would like to keep this tradition, otherwise there are no rules.

Girls
Elizabeth Yekaterina
Julianna Natalia
Katharyne Svetlana

Boys
Alexander Ivan
Daniel Evgeny

Any suggestions would be great!

I would avoid using any spelling of Katharyne since it and other Kate (e.g. Katelyn) variations are extremely popular at the moment. I would also avoid using Alexander since although there may not be *that* many Alexanders, there are a lot of Alexandras, Alexises, Alexas, etc. out there. I once went to a mother-and-baby group where, out of about ten regulars, there were four "Alex"s (two female, two male).

BTW, my favourite Russian name (for a boy) is Dmitri. I would love to use it myself, but it sounds ridiculous with my husband's very Anglo last name.

Cheers,
Tara
