My brother is Jamie, but if not for him, I'd prefer it for a girl. But, for a girl, I'd probably spell it differently, like Jaime or Jami.

I love this name, but only for a boy!

I voted unisex, but prefer it for a boy because it is the name in my husband's family. His father, brother, nephew, and some cousins are all named James and "Jamie" is the common nickname until they hit adulthood, then they choose James, Jim, Jamie or Jay to be called. I guess I am just surrounded by masculine examples of the name. I have only had one female student in my years of teaching that has the name Jamie.

I like it for a girl only even though I have known a few male Jamies. My friend's daughter's name is Jayme and it is constantly mispronounced as the Spanish Male name (Hy-May)

I only like Jamie as a nn for a boy-for James or Jamison. For a girl it can be a full name.
