hi again

i posted here about a month and a half ago asking for opinions on our two name combinations: marin grace and shea elizabeth. i think we've decided on marin grace but are having problems deciding on the spelling of marin. i don't want to get too trendy with all of the phonetic spellings of names that is happening right now but am concerned about ease of pronunciation. so here are the three options:

marin
maren
maryn

i want it to be as feminine as possible and to be unique without going over-the-top.

thanks for your opinions!

I like Maren best. All of the Marens I know spell it that way, so it's plenty feminine. Marin is a county in California with the accent on the "in," so some people may mispronounce it. Maryn may be easy to pronounce, but might look like a trendy spelling.

How are you pronouncing it? I love the name Marin (like the county). A friend's daughter is named Marin and it is a very feminine and delicate name. If you want another pronunciation MAR-en, then I would spell it Maren rather than with the y.

I think Maren is best.
