I'm going to reply instead of vote: My favorite name on there is Derek, but I don't like how the hard C sound at the end of Derek is the same sound starting Crowder. It runs together.
I don't like where the Ds are in Adam and Braeden with Crowder, so those would be out
Julian is soooooo feminine sounding. I KNOW it's a boys name, but I just don't like it, like at all
Samuel, Ethan, and Daniel all sound fine with Crowder. I like Ethan the best, Daniel is OK, not crazy for Samuel, to me it's an old name, but is on the rebound and getting awfully popular. I'm hearing it a lot
Neil is just real outdated. not a classic, just out of it.
not sure why you think Crowder is so hard to find something that sounds good. here are names I think would sound fine with it. there's something around the D in the middle of Crowder that sounds weird if the first name also has a D somewhere near the middle, so I'll avoid those. the 'er' enders also don't work
Aaron Crowder, Brennan Crowder (great alt to Braeden), Dylan Crowder, Evan Crowder, Garrett Crowder, Gavin Crowder, Holden Crowder, Ian Crowder (this one's great with Crowder, seriously), Jarrett Crowder, Justin Crowder, Matthew Crowder (very good one), Nathan Crowder, Nathaniel Crowder, Preston Crowder, Payton Crowder (slight hesitation on the unisex, one of the few I like for both), Shayne Crowder, Tristan Crowder.
good luck
There are much worse last names! I think all the names sound fine with the ln. Here's my ranking:
Yes:
Samuel, Daniel, Neil
OK:
Adam, Ethan, Derrick
NMS:
Braeden - too trendy, don't like the "bray" sound
Julian - too wimpy for me. Sorry!
There are much worse last names out there! (I just noticed the last name "Wrong" somewhere. Mr. Wrong. Can't be an asset in the dating game, eh?)
Anyway: I like Julian. Others think it's feminine, but I think it's smart and sophisticated. I also love Neil and think it's ripe for a comeback. It is a classic, strong and masculine.
good luck!
