I voted for Kye. Different and kind of spunky. ;)

I don't really dislike Cooper, but it sounds a little "nerdy" next to Kye, and I've known quite a few people with pets named that, so ...

I also could never vote for Camden, living on the East Coast. Perhaps not a thought depending on where you live, but it's really a crime-ridden, dirty city I couldn't associate with a child's name. Again, maybe not an issue where you live, but if he ever, say, moved to New York to work ... :)

Thanks again for your views.

Kye is my #1 pick but DH just won't go for it! He likes to shorten names and as this can't be shortened to a nn, he doesn't like it. The only thing I can do is find a lengthed version so he can shorten to Kye. Any suggestions appreciated!

Regarding Camden, we are in Australia, so not aware of the "unsavouriness" of the place you mentioned and it is unlikely to affect us. DH likes this as it can be shortened to Cam.

Since Camden is one on my list for this baby of ours, I had to Camden!! I know that there are a lot here in the US that associate it with the city, but I am in the midwest so it doesn't really bother me at all. Your other 2 choices are good as well, but Camden is my favorite!

Hmmm ... how about Skyelar, Kyle, Kyler, Kylen, Kieron/Kyran/Kyeron, Kynaston, Kian, Kiefer or Kilian? Some lend themselves to the nn Kye more than others, but I think many K names would work. :)

*edited to add: Forgot to mention, if you're not even in the U.S., I'd say you can disregard the city comment about Camden. :)

I was also going to suggest Malachi/Malakai, nn Kai/Kye. I'm sorry, but I'm with your DH on this one b/c I like names that can be shortened to a nn, too, and Kye is just too short for me. I voted for Cooper, but since you're not in the U.S., I could go with Camden, too.

Good luck making a decision!
