Ariana is such a beautiful, strong name. It was our girl name choice, but we're now having our second boy... We were going to spell it with 2 n's, though, arianna.
Good Luck choosing.

I was torn between Elianna, Reagan, and Ariana. I love all 3 names. I finally chose Ariana. I think its just so pretty and sounds strong to me!

Thanks for the reply. I love Ariana too. If you spell it with two n's, is it still pronounced air-E-ahna or does it change to air-E-anna?

I like the way it looks with 2 n's but I wasn't sure about the pronunication.

Thanks again!

We were actually going to pronounce it are-E-onna... if that makes sense. Its a beautiful name with either beginning, but i definitely prefer the "onna" sound at the end.

You were looking for a strong girls name. What about the name "Kennedy" It is not overused and it is a strong name.

I love Kennedy too, but we already have a beautiful cousin Kennedy that we see often. Thanks for the idea. Any more?

Assuming that by "strong" you mean not flighty or cutesy but classy and something that could say "Supreme Court Justice" or "Surgeon General":

# Eliana or Elianna (same pronunciation) - nice
# Reagan - too trendy, too political
# Rowan - too trendy
# Eliza - nice
# Morgan - too trendy
# Victoria (not a fan of Vicki) - nice, could use nn Tory
# Lorelei - OK
# Ariana - too nasal sounding for me
# Katherine (Kate) - of course, this is a classic. She won't be the only Kate, but it won't peg her to a certain era or social class.
