I love Miranda. It's beauiful and underused. I'm a little sick of Rose - it seems like every little girl I know born in the last five years has Rose as a middle name. It's pretty but really overused as a middle name. But it is really nice with Miranda. Even despite my issues with Rose, I really like this combination.
I agree about Rose. (ALthough to me, I would like it because it was my Grandmother's name, but it is so used right now.) Rose is the part that my friend is not completely set on....she wants something short, no -a- at the end, but can't think of anything else that flows well. I had suggested Grace, even though that is also another very used middle name right now as well. ANy ideas that I can pass along?
She plans to call her Randi, which I don't like due to a bad name association, but I think that will change once I see that cute baby sometime in May!
Grace is the over-used middle name I'd really like to use, but I have a weird family connection that prevents me from doing so without major drama. Personally I think Rose and Grace are both beautiful and perfect for middle names (that one-syllable, simple, easy to match idea) but I know so many little girls with one or the other right now.
The more I think about it, the more I love Miranda. And I think Randi is a really cute nn. Here are a list of other middle names that are similar in style/sound to Rose and Grace. Maybe your friend
I love Miranda Rose - its so cute. I know Rose is used a lot as a middle name but its so lovely so it shouldn't matter. Personally I prefer the nn Mia with Miranda because Randi/y is too boysy for me even though I know its not.
Here are some other suggestions for mns:
Miranda Eve Miranda Faye Miranda Faith Miranda Fern Miranda Kate Miranda Lea (pn Lee)
I love this name...good thing, because it's one of my daughter's! I have 8 yr old GGB triplets -- Miranda Rose, Gabrielle Claire and Evan Richard. (And 35 weeks pg with #4, the Boy With No Name yet). There aren't a lot of Mirandas around, another reason why I like the name. (Rose is kinda popular, although she was named after an aunt). Best of luck to your friends. -- Cindy
Well my name is Miranda Lee and I've always hated it.. I was named after my daddy, Randy Lee. They considered naming me Randy and I'm so glad they didn't. Please tell your friends that I strongly recommend not calling her Randi. I'm pretty sure she'll hate it. The name Miranda is so ugly to me..not to mention calling her Randi. Randy is all boy. HTH!!
Beautiful combo! :)
