I love Violet Cassandra, and it GMV regardless, but I was curious why Alexandra or Alexandria were not included as options. You could even do Alexis or Xandria if those caught your fancy. Just throwing out ideas for you. Again, Violet Cassandra is just gorgeous and I do prefer it over the ones I just listed.

Thanks for your input!

I am not a huge fan of Alexandra or Alexandria. The middle name is going to be after my husband's mother, Sandra, who passed away just before we met. So we are trying to find variations of her name to work with because we can't "take" her actual name out of the running for his brother.

Violet was my great-grandmother's name (which I didn't realize until after I had thought of Violet as a possibility - so it must be fate!).

My husband is partial to Violet Cassandra and I lean a little more towards Violet Sandrine (I tend to like the "odd" names out there) - but both are beautiful.

Thanks again:)

I prefer Violet Alessandra if you're naming her after someone named Sandra. Alessandra actually includes the name Sandra, and I find it more unusual and more sophisticated than Alexandra. And unlike Alexander and Xander, Alessandra is an actual girl's name.

Sandrine reminds me of a stripper...

Just my opinion...

Oh, I just love Alessandra, too.

So Cassandra or Alessandra would GMV. :-)

JMO but if you're using it as a middle name, even if you use Sandra his brother could still use Sandra as a first name or middle name. I know lots of families where several people have the same mn, or someone has the same fn as someone else's mn.

I voted for Cassandra but I like Alessandra a lot too.
