I don't think that Rachel and Sarah are too matchy for sisters...my name is Rachel and my younger sister's name is Sarah. :) Great choices, if I do say so myself! Our full names are Rachel Elizabeth & Sarah Eve.

Matchy? I have heard matchy sibsets before and this does not seem matchy to me at all! I think they work wonderfully together!

Wow! Thank you all so much. I didn't say this, but I already have a Rachel and Sarah. I wasn't sure about naming Sarah, but went with it because my husband liked it. I actually thought of it so, of course, I like it too. For 2 years though, I felt uncomfortable about the pairing of the names. I have had a reservation about how it sounds together with big sister's name. I get some odd looks in public situations when people ask what their names are. I hate that I had the polling results hidden, but so far it's 43 votes for no, and 2 for yes. I feel good now!

This doesn't seem matchy to me at all, although I did get the Biblical association (Sarah would have been Rachel's grandmother-in-law LOL). Maybe that's why some people give you "odd looks" when you say their names together, since I'd assume this would be pretty obvious to anyone with a religious background. Still not that weird, though. ;)

No, I don't think it's too matchy at all. Even if people get the biblical connection, it's not that bad. Not like naming your kids Adam and Eve, or Cain and Abel, or Moses and Miriam, or Mary and Joseph. ;-)
