Does first name clash with last name?

My all-time favorite girls name is Julia. Unfortunately, I inherited my hubby's last name of Hygema. So honestly do you think Julia Hygema sounds strange? It kind of reminds me of Julia Gulia from the Wedding Singer movie with Adam Sandler. Another possibility is Julianna Hygema. With this last name I don't think I can use any first name that ends in an "a" which is a bummer because there are so many cute names.
BTW my last name is pronounced HI-ji-ma

Ooh, that is a tough last name.
I personally think Julia Hygema is a little much with the repeated J sound, the -a endings, and the same number of syllables. (Makes me think of Julia Gulia, too. ;-) )Julie or Julianne Hygema would sound better. If the absolute only name you both loved and could agree on were Julia (or Julianna), then I don't think it's horrible, but you could probably do better.

I don't know...
I don't think Julia Hygema would be bad. Julianna would be fine too.

I'm sitting here saying it out loud, and really, I don't think Julia Hygema sounds too bad. It's not nearly as bad as Julia Giula. I like it better than Juliana Margulies (actress from ER). Most people pronounce Julia with 2 syllables (jul-ya).
Almost anything is going to sound a little bit weird paired up with Hygema. I don't mean that as an insult. I have a weird surname myself and people are always mispronouncing it.

I think it's just fine. It wouldn't make me think twice, honestly. If you love the name you should use it.
Hygema's not that bad either. I have heard much worse!
