I really like a lot of these. Owen seems very popular, but it's nice. I would consider it if it didn't sem so popular. Though I don't know any IRL. I voted for Grant, a name I really like, but don't think we'll use. I also like Gavin, Garrett, and Bennett. Dalton is ok. I have an association with that name so it's hard to think of it differently, but it is nice. The others aren't really my style.

And now my comments.....

Grant - I love this name. I personally could never use it because I knew a Grant in high school and he was annoying and not the brightest wick in the candle factory. Bad association for me. LOL. But....definately a cool name.

Gavin - Adorable

Dalton - Not a fan of this one. Just makes me think Dallas, Texas and big hats.

August - WHile I really don't like August for a boy name I do LOVE the nn Gus.

Liam - I voted for this one. I really like this name. Classy and cool.

Owen - Not bad, but I don't love it.

Roan - I know a lot of people love this name, but I am not one of them. This name is just a name that has always irked me. Makes me think GROAN. Just not my thing.

Mason - Not a fan here either. I think of Mason jars. LOL.

Bennett - We had a dog named Bennett in the family. Like the nn Ben, but not a fan of Bennett either.

Garrett - Cute.

You have a lot of great names here! I had a hard time picking just one. ;)

Grant -- like this a lot, but it always seems to work best as a mn (that may just have to do with the other names on my own list though LOL)
Gavin -- love it ... this almost got my vote
Dalton -- like it, but it does have a bit of a Western feel to me ;)
August -- not my favorite from this list, although I don't dislike it
Liam -- it's ok, but again, not my favorite
Owen -- great name, but sooo popular ... I love a lot of similar but less-common names, though (Oran, Ewan, etc.)
Roan -- love the name, not the spelling. I mentally see it as one syllable -- like loan or moan -- even though I love Rowan. If the unisex use of Rowan bothers you, you could always use the Rohan spelling (I recently added this to my own list since that's exactly what dh disliked about Rowan) ;)
Mason -- much too trendy/popular for my taste
Bennett -- seems to be the popular alternative to Benjamin lately (Wow! Oddly enough, a Bennett Infinity commercial just ran as I was typing that ... it's a local dealership LOL). Anyway, a similar name you might like is Beckett -- unless you're just going for the nn Ben, in which case ignore me
Garrett -- love it! Got my vote

I voted for Grant but I like all the names on your list except Dalton. Every Dalton I've ever met has been a little brat, lol.

If you name him August, please don't call him Auggie.

Well, right now it looks like Liam is winning with 11 votes, my dh will LOVE that. Liam is still his #1 choice for a boy. I am surprised August only got 1 vote, we actually like it better for a mn, I just thought I would put it out there. Thanks for all the comments, keep the coming.

I like Dalton, but then the only Dalton I've ever known was a very nice little boy.
