Everytime I think we have a name picked something goes wrong and we don't agree...

for a girl I was really leaning toward

Kelsey Blair McCoy
I really like the name Kelsey Blair, It fits with our last name well, It is nice with our boys names, and I can't see anything WRONG with it. I must say i haven't found the perfect name and I don't think I will, but this name was the closest I have gotten and I really haven't been in the modd, to search names day and night like I did with the 3 boys. AND I don't have as much time to put AS MUCH thought into it either. So I thought Kelsey blair was good/

DH has decided he doesn't "KNOW" if he likes this name and that it sounds like a boy name to him. AND He said that if we don't find the perfect name we love why are we going to SETTLE on a name we aren't completly happy with. I agree, but I don't think there is a name out there that is perfect for us for a girl, and frankly, at thsi point there isn't even a boy name we can pick because since this is probrably our last child we have a lot of names for boys that we want to use and we can't decide between them at all...

I really don't have any energy to look anymore with three children and pregnant with another one wihile DH is at work all day. My only saving grace today is that my sister took the kids with her DH and her Daughter and took them to the park and then they are staying at there house for the night, so I can take a break.

I guess All I am saying is that I am stressed and that I don't feel like doing anything. Picking names aren't supposed to add to stress, (isn't it supposed to be fun!!!)

For those of you who know what kind of names I like...Irish/Celtic/Gaelic/sometimes English. Can you give me some name combo's FN and MN that go with our last name McCoy.

Children are:
Brennan Hunter, NN: Brenn
Braidyn Gunnar, NN: Braidy
Riorden Shaynne, NN: Rory

DH
Sean Ryan,
Casey Jean, NN: C.J. sometimes

let me know what you guys come up with. at this point I am looking for anything that will work. I really need the help!1!!!

Thanks guys
I completely appreciate it

Hello. I believe I recall your being here with past pgs. I didn't realize you are pg again. Congrats! Naming should be fun, but it can be hard esp. when there are multiple siblings.

Children are:
Brennan Hunter, NN: Brenn
Braidyn Gunnar, NN: Braidy
Riorden Shaynne, NN: Rory

DH
Sean Ryan,
Casey Jean, NN: C.J. sometimes-

The first name that came to mind for me is:

Fallon- It ends in -n without sounding at all masculine.

Next that came to mind- Bethan. An Irish beauty (nn for Elizabeth like Megan for Margaret) that's completely overlooked here.

Fallon Maeve McCoy,

According to lists I perused, "Blair" is both a male and female name in Ireland. And Kelsey is, of course, a famous male actor.

Hence, I agree with your husband on this one. Two possible male names strung together can only cause heartache for your daughter.

How 'bout just dropping one of them, and making the "other" (middle/first) name something more feminine sounding?

Here are a few Gaelic options that caught my eye:

Keira
Caralee
Cara
Belle
Brietta
Brina

Thus, possible combinations:

Cara Belle McCoy

Kelsey Belle McCoy

Brina Blair McCoy

Brietta Blair McCoy

Brietta Kelsey McCoy

etc.

As it is, Brennan and Braidyn just seem like a coincidence, not TOO matchy, KWIM? ;) Also, I know some of these aren't your style, but I'll throw them in just in case you want more options (that way you'll at least FEEL like you looked high and low, right? LOL).

HTH

I really think Keira Fallon is a beautiful name; it would go nicely with your boys. Good luck, Tracy.
