I would name her Clara Elizabeth and call her Clara Beth spelled this way.

Good Luck!

I know a lot of people aren't fans of double first names, but humor me here.

This is one we are contemplating because it incorporates a name we both like and we can honor my grandmother at the same time. Using her full name is out of the question, using her middle name is not an option and using her name as a middle name isn't an option as we have already decided on the baby's middle name, which will be my other grandmother's maiden name.

I just don't know how I would spell it if we use it. She's going to be here any day, literally. I'm dilated to almost 4, lol! So, help!! :)

What will the mn be? I am not the biggest fan of two middle names, so I would pick either Clara or Elizabeth. Clara-Beth and Clarabeth do not look right. What part of the name honors your grandmother - Clara or Beth? Elizabeth is a classic and literally fits with any mn. There are so many wonderful nn options - Eliza or Libby go wonderfully with Weston. If the name is Clara, then go with just Clara because it is great name that fits great with Weston.

Good luck,
Brooke

The middle name will be Heartlein, said "Heart Line". It's the Beth part that honors my other grandmother. I'd use her full name, but it is also the name of another family member that I don't care for at all. Sigh. For some reason, I'm ok with using the "Beth" part but not the full name. I can't explain it, lol!

I know it seems kind of silly to try to name her after both grandmothers but no one has used this particular grandmother's name and I would really like to. I'm not sure we are going to have more kids or have another girl so I feel pressed to use it now, KWIM?

Thank you for your suggestions! I really appreciate it.

Heartlein is a cool middle name - I like it a lot. I understand what you mean about not wanting your child to share a name with a family member you dislike, but still liking the "Beth" part. I really like the Roselyn, nn Rose/Rosie, but unfortunately there is a cousin with the name Roslyn who people would associate that name with.

Here are some fn that could give you the nn Beth:
Lisbeth
Bethany
Bethan - I like this one with the mn Hearlein, it is Welsh
Bethia

Good luck,
Brooke

I don't think it's silly to name her for both grandmothers.
