I like Greg a lot and never hear it anymore on little ones. I do prefer Gregory, nn Greg, so I voted "prefer Gregory."

I LOVE Gregory without a nickname or with Gray or Rory as a nn. Gregory nn Greg is okay, but it seems very dated (baby boomer) to me. It seems like SO MANY of my friends' dads are named Greg. Greg on its own DEFINITELY seems dated. It also seems very nicknamey -- I'd much prefer Gregory nn Greg so that he has more options when he is an adult.

I actually LOVE Gregory, nn Rory or even Gray, but I don't like Greg at all. It just seems very dated (my first thought is Greg Brady ) and not nearly as appealing as the other nn options. I like it as a given name even less, to be honest, but if you love it I'd use Gregory or Gregor, nn Greg, so at least he has an option as he ages.

lol i can't say anything bad, as DF is Greg (fn Gregory). I think that it's a great classic name, and i've been meeting more and more men in their 20's with this name. I have been talking to DF about this right now actually, and his response is that it's just Greg. Rory and Gray are nice names, but the child is often automatically gonna be called Greg. lol that's his response.
