Great list! It's fun to see people's name choices evolve on this board and I can't wait to hear what you ultimately choose. :)

I am finding this time the hardest one....I don't know what it is, maybe just scared we won't find the right name that we love and that our child will like too. It is against our hospital policies to tell the sex of the baby here, so we don't have a clue what it is. I do think it is a girl. I'm sure we'll find that perfect name. I think Margaret has be involved though because it was my grandmothers name and she passed away 1 day before I got pregnant & my 2 yr old is bound the baby is to be called Margaret. I just find that very strange because she didnt even know her by Margaret she called her Gram. Thanks again for all your help.

Where do you live that the hospitals will not tell the sex of the baby, I have never heard of this. I voted for Clara Margaret. I'm with your daughter that you should use grams name too. I love Clara, and the fact that your last name starts with A doesn't bother me at all. I think this is a wonderful name, and I have yet to ever meet a Clara, so thats great too.

We live on a little island called Prince Edward Island, in Canada....Have you ever heard of it..Actually I told my doctor that it was nonsense for my last that we should have that decision so she felt bad and told me 2 weeks before I had him. I have never met any Clara's either.

I live in Canada as well and I know of quite a number of areas with this practice. It began in my area b/c there were problems w/ certain immigrant communities selectively aborting girls. A lot of doctors will tell you secretly if they don't think you're likely to abort (ie. just want to know so you can decorate the nursery, buy clothes, choose a name etc.), mostly this just ends up being an ethnic judgement though.

I like Clara Eve or maybe even Clara Evelyn depending on if you like that name.

Tough decision.

I love the name Margaret and wanted to pick Clara Margaret
But with the last name Arsenault, Clara Jane sounded much better.
So I picked Clara Jane Arsenault.
