Which boy's name?

  • Hank Aidan
  • Cedric
  • Hank Aidan would be called by both first and middle name. His official first

  • name would be Henry, but he would be called Hank Aidan for everyday use.

I like Henry/Hank MUCH MUCH MUCH more than Cedric. Cedric the Entertainer.

I voted for Hank, but only because you said his given name would be Henry. Love Henry, and Hank is cute as a nn.

AJ, enjoying life with C.

I'm finding it hard to vote because these names just seem so different in style. Hank feels very casual/rugged, sort of like an old-fashioned western cowboy or farmhand. Cedric, conversely, sounds very quiet and distinguished, like a studious medieval monk. Between the two, I'm stumped! These might just be my bizarre associations, though, because I've never known anyone by either of those names. I guess I like them about equally but they would be for totally different kinds of people.

Hank Aidan doesn't sound like a double-first name in the least, sorry, so I voted against it. no way people will go through life calling him that, he'll end up with one or the other

Hank is too much of a nn to use as a formal first name and I'm not a Henry fan

I voted Cedric b/c Hank Aidan seems like an odd dbl name to me. I prefer Hank to Cedric, but not in combo w/ Aidan. I've never heard of Cedric the Entertainer so that didn't sway me, it's not so uncommon as to be associated w/ one person (I know 3 Cedric's, 2 get Ced as a nn). Also, your son's generation may not have this association, more likely the Harry Potter character ;) HTH!
