deciding between "A" girls names...Thoughts??
- Avery
- Arielle
- Ava
- Alexa
You will be able to change your vote.

Although I don't love Arielle, I had to vote for it by default. I love Avery on boys, but not so much on girls. Ava is SO darn popular right now that I would hate to have to hear another one, and the Alex- names seem trendy and overused. Here are some other A names to consider.

HAD to vote for Arielle
Avery -- don't mind it for a girl (though it's still quite masculine and I do prefer it for a boy), but it does come across as a trendy way to sidestep Ava ... especially when you also have Ava on your list. ;)
Arielle -- Arielle and Ariel seem very dated and "little-girl trendy", if you KWIM, probably because these were the names all the girls thought were soooo pretty back in Jr. High, after The Little Mermaid movie came out. It might seem less so if I were to meet a little Arielle this didn't apply to, but the only ones I've ever heard of had young mothers who liked the name for that very reason.
Ava -- this really is a beautiful name. If you like it, use it. I'd much rather see someone use a name they love that happens to be popular rather than unknowingly following a trend to try to avoid it, KWIM?
Alexa -- to me this is much more popular than Ava. All the Alex- names are incredibly popular for both genders at the moment, both as first and mns. You honestly can't scan through a list of birth announcements without stumbling across at least one (usually many more). Despite that fact, these also have a dated feel to me, having grown up with so many children named Alexis, Alexandra, Alexandria, Alexa, Alexander, etc. Just following behind Jessica, Jennifer and the like in my area, I suppose.

Definitly Arielle.
Avery is masculine, & so super trendy. No fun.
Ava is lovely & feminine, but there are a ton of them right now.
Alexa is nms. It's pretty trendy too, imo. I know a ton of little ones called this.
Arielle is interesting, simple, feminine, & very sweet.
Hope this helps!
