If you hear the name Sage - does it sound like a boy's name or a girl's name to you??

I've ALWAYS thought it would be a girls name only (it sounds so feminine to me!) :)

but just curious what others thought...

thanx!

I've heard of it either being for a boy or girl. Like you, I feel like it should be for a girl. I like the name Sage.

It sounds like a unisex name to me, but my first impression would be that it's a boys' name. But then, I collect Asian fashion dolls, and one of the boy models is called "Sage," so it might just have stuck as masculine from that.

Neither. ;) As a spice or someone wise, it just doesn't imply gender in my mind.

Lots of help I am. LOL

I think of a girl when I think of the name Sage, but only because I first heard it as a girl's name. It doesn't really have a feminine connotation or feel for me, though.

When i used to work in Daycare I looked after a little girl named Sage. She also had a younger brother named Kale (as in cabbage). Since then I have loved both of the names because both of the kids were gorgeous.

I definitely see it as a girl's name and I like it a lot. If you put this into a poll form you will probably get even more votes and a clearer idea.

I think of it as a girl's name. On the other hand, a friend of mine named his son Aidan Sage...so I guess it can be a boy's name as well.
