Don't see any reason to add a 'y'.

Please don't even consider Dustyn... that is awful.

I am so against unnecessary "y"s in general, and in this case it would be even worse. Most people who add unnecessary "y"s do so to girl's names. Dustin is a name which is not the most "macho" to begin with (don't get me wrong it's a great name) but adding a y to it would make it WAY too feminine looking!

are you surprised by this result? I've never seen Dustyn for either gender (fortunately I don't know any girl Dustin's - has this gone unisex too, that anyone knows of)

I LOVE spelling girls names with unique spellings (as long as they make sense phonetically), but adding a "y" is very feminine to me! Dustin is great tho!

How about a middle name for Dustin? We have decided that if the baby is a boy, his name will be Dustin.
