Charles Thomas Poser is a bit S-heavy, but Blake Poser almost sounds like a "thing" you might actually pose. LOL Don't get me wrong -- I like Blake -- it's just the first thing I thought of when I saw the combo. And if you'll use a nn for Charles, Charlie/Charley Poser seems to flow quite naturally. Sort of reminiscent of Charlie Parker. ;) I quite like it.

I hope this makes sense. You know the slang term "poser" means fake or trying to fit in with a certain group. Well, for some reason I can see someone named Blake being a "poser"' Its like I can hear a group of adolescent boys standing around and declaring "Blake is such a poser!" I do not think of Charles the same way at all.

Ooh ... may be part of what bugged me about it too. I also thought of the "fake" (rather than literal LOL) poser meaning as well, and yeah, Blake could certainly fit ... whereas classic Charles just doesn't seem the poser type. ;)

I like all of your thoughts so far. I am partial to Charles, it is also a family name. It is hard to find a name to fit with this last name! Luckily, the term "poser" has somewhat disappeared, or is not as prevalent as when my DH was young. I think it made him stronger in the long run! It became almost a cool nickname!

I can see it becoming a cool nn. I had a friend in college who's last name was Rhodey, pronounced like Road-ee, you know like a roadie for a band, and it was a great nn, in fact I can't even remember his first name!

I can't believe the voting is sooooo close! Maybe this is why we are having a hard time deciding!
