Great names to work with! My favorite is Susanna Genevieve because I like both names and the other combos seemed a little heavy on the "ee" sounds, but it seems like Susanna might be awkward with a last name that starts with S--to s heavy? It might work great, but thinking through that caused me to vote for Genevieve Christina... :)

I love both Evelina and Carolina--very pretty, somewhat familiar but unique. I think Evelina might be pronounced correctly more often, but they are both gorgeous.
As for the others, Christina is a little plain/common for me. Genevieve strikes me as quite French next to an Italian surname, which might be a sort of strange combination together. Susanna is probably would have too many S sounds with your surname.

Thanks for the helpful comments. I agree with both you and Melanie's concern about Susanna, I think I might have to let that one go because it is too much with the S's. I also go back and forth as to whether Christina is too plain/common. In a way that is part of why I like it because it is one of the few names that is a classic, extremely familiar and formerly overused, but now way down in popularity. But I know it is probably less popular because everyone is tired of it! So I go back and forth. Thanks again!

Sigh, our last name has two S sounds, so we've had to let go a lot of names like that, too!
I see what you mean about Christina. I guess my other issue with Christina is that the nicknames for it--Chris, Chrissy, Tina--are nms and seem sort of 80's to me. I think some of the other names have better nickname options, if that is a priority for you. I absolutely adore the nn Lina, and Evie/Eva is very nice too.
good luck!

Hi there,

Eveline is a name I am seriously considering if I have a girl. Are you Dutch in any way? I'm from Holland and have always loved the name - will nickname it to Evie, not so popular back home, but I am living in London right now and know no one will get the proper pronunciation here.

All your options were lovely by the way. Choosing a name is so hard isn't it, why can't I give it ten names :) ?

Hi,
I love Evelina, but we are not Dutch. We are Italian and the Italians use it too, though it doesn't seem to be common anywhere except Sweden. I think it is about number 50 in Sweden. We were set on it for a while, but I am hestitating only because it is four syllables and so is our last name. Also, here in America, there is a clear Ava, Eva, Evelyn trend that is sweeping the nation so I don't want to seem like I am just getting creative and hopping on the bandwagon. DH wants just Eva but pronounced Ava like it would be in Italy and I had to veto because of excessive popularity.

It is SO much harder than I thought it would be. Sometimes I feel like I want to give her 10 names and other days I am so bored by all names and I don't feel like any name is good enough!

Good luck!
