Names for boy/girl twins
| Mon, 06-25-2007 - 12:48pm |
I have names I like for both, but don't know which combination I like best. Ideas for comninations or other names that would go with them well?
Boys: Benjamin, Alexander, Joseph, Jared, Nathan, Owen
Girls: Bridget, Annabel, Hannah, Alice, Susanna, Lauren
I'm not too sure how I like the matching first initials (DH and I have alliterated fn and ln).
Other ideas are welcome! :]

have you considered using the same first initial for the twins and you and your husband's first initial? I know several families (not young ones - actually older ones) who where the mom and dad had the same initial, they named all the kids with those
anyhow - of our list I like Jared the best of the boys, the girls are all too older for me, but I guess Jared & Hannah would make the best combo there
OR - how about Jared & Janna - that would be a nice combo
I know a set of B/G twins named Nathan and Allison - Nate & Allie, but Alice is really too old-sounding for me
good luck
Possible combos from you list:

I love all of your name choices! I think I would stay away from having your children have the same first initial, especially if it's the same initial you and your husband share - simply because it can become impractical. For example you won't know who the mail is for if it's labeled "R. Smith" if that could be any of you (okay, not a big deal) but there are other instances where it could be inconvenient.. and the other issue is that if you have other children you'll pretty much have to name something with the same first letter and you may find that you don't like any more of those names as much as others.
Anyway, my favorite combinations are:
Owen and Annabel
Jared and Susanna
Nathan and Bridget
Good luck!
I think you have a very nice list going! I would avoid matchy initials, I think it's very corny (especially if it's you and DH's initials already...just TOO much). Here are the combos that appeal to me the most:
Hannah and Nathan
Lauren and Alexander
Annabel and Jared
Alice and Joseph
Bridget and Owen
Susanna and Benjamin

Having fun with 4! Griffin, Dylan, Callan and Ruby :)
I would avoid using the same initial for both.
Boys: Benjamin, Alexander, Joseph, Jared, Nathan, Owen
Girls: Bridget, Annabel, Hannah, Alice, Susanna, Lauren
#1) Benjamin & Alice - I would prefer something a bit less common here with Alice, but i ADORE Alice. Something like Henry, Jasper, Graham, or Calvin might work better.
#2) Jared & Bridget
I LOVE your girls list, but nothing really stands out on the boys list, which I think is the problem here. LOVE Alice and Susanna and really like the others.

My suggestions for pairing from your list:
Owen and Susanna (just LOVE both these names!)
Nathan and Hannah (slightly matchy but not TOO much)
