People who responded to a prior question I'd posted told me that it's a variant of Cian and should be pronounced KEE-in. I like the name very much, but I was concerned because I want to choose a name that is easily pronounceable; and I thought that Kian (and all the more so Cian) might be pronounced in at least 2 different ways. I'm going to have to think more about this name. But I still like it a lot!

I voted for the pronunciation with the long 'E' sound, as that is the correct one, after all. LOL. I don't think there would be too much of a problem with people pronouncing it with the long 'I' sound. There are only two possible pronunciations (hopefully, LOL) from this name, so if someone does say it wrong, it shouldn't take more than one correction. All you would have to tell them is that it is "like Ian, with a K (or a hard C)."
