I did not vote b/c to me, Rowan is truly unisex and I wouldn't assume gender based on the written name only. I personally like it on either gender, and that is saying something b/c I normally dislike gender-neutral names!

I do like it for a boy. With a boy already named Jessy, I feel like the next boy has to have a gender/neutral name beacause something too masculine may make my sons name look really girl, make sense?

I do like Jessy, Sophie and Rowan.

hmmm... now to get DH to like it!

Sarah I agree with your thinking. I think Rowan is one of those genuine unisex names. It is one of my favorites but I can't use it. :( I voted boy in your poll because with Jessy and Sophie already I think Rowan would work better on a boy for you. :)

I think Jessy, Sophie, and Rowan are a nice group! I totally see what you mean about the next boy's name. Something like Thomas, for example, would make Jessy seem more feminine. Good luck with DH- that is definitely the hardest part sometimes!

With a sister named Sophie, I would expect Rowan to be a boy.

I didn't vote because I think Rowan is great on either a boy or a girl. The new Mr. Bean movie is coming out, which will get Americans reacquainted with the name on boys, and I have a female cousin named Rowan, as well.

It's totally unisex but I would suggest to you, personally, using it for a boy, since you already have a unisex name for your other son...
