ETA Just read your last post and I honestly don't hear a difference between the 2 pronunciations... therefore Caralynn would be pronounced the exact same as Carolyn for me.
Oh, really? Hmm. Well, I would pronounce Caralynn like it was two names (Cara Lynn). Maybe I would be better off using fn Cara and mn Lynn? :) Or maybe Cara Lynn as two first names...
Carolyn is okay, but this spelling is nmsaa. I prefer Cara or Caroline.

I love this name, although I would have it be a double name instead of one name. And I do see (hear) a difference in the pronounciations.

If that's the way you want it pronounced, I think you're right that making it Cara Lynn would probably be the right spelling for you.
