I voted yes, because even though it is technically "made up" (as pointed out by the pp), it still sounds pretty and honors your grandmother.

Jessamine/Jessamin (form of Jasmine)
Jessamy
Jessa
Jessenia (the name book I have that I've found to line up well, meaning-wise, w/BTN says that this is Arabic for "flower," but Behind the Name says it's a Spanish variant of Yesenia and is Spanish) ~~~~~~ Again, I do think Jessalyn sounds pretty and it's a very nice way to honor someone in her family history.
